What is it

An open source basic gallery app for Android.

This is still very much in early development (it may be forever). I’m not responsible if it blows up your family photo collection (it shouldn’t, Android prevents that).

What works

• Albums (view-only for now)
• Image and video thumbnails with caching
• Timeline scrolling by month/year
• Basic image editing (crop, rotate, flip)
• Video playback
• An app icon I designed myself (sorry)

What’s next

• Editing albums (title, cover image, moving/copying photos in)
• Basic video trimming
• Markup tools (pen, highlighter, blur/pixelate brush, redaction shapes)
• An image info viewer (EXIF, location, etc.)

Why

My wife doesn’t like Google Photos. That’s the whole story.
